Robert "Bob" Lee Cain Jr.

Robert "Bob" Lee Cain, Jr., 61, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. He was born March 31, 1958 to Robert Lee and Margaret (Childs) Cain. Bob attended Pratt High School. Bob began his work career at Cross Manufacturing. When he went to work in the Oilfield, he found a home for life. He worked for Kirkman Oil, Texas Energies, and Wheatstate Oilfield Service where he supervised the roustabout crews and the cats and graders. He bought two of the roustabout trucks and started Bullseye Oilfield Service in March of 1986. He continued as President of Bullseye until he sold his share of the business in May of 1998. He started contract pumping full time then, following in his father's footsteps. He retired from pumping in early 2018 due to health concerns. He bought a camper and spent time at local lakes and made a couple of trips north to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. He is survived by his sister, Betty Wilkerson of Corsicana, Texas; Niece, Kira (Joseph Chapman) Farquhar of Wichita; Nephew, Logan Cain of Wichita; great-niece, Ava Farquhar; great-nephew, Kade Farquhar; and dearest friends, Wayne Hoener, Todd Hoener, Warren Schepmann and Stan Brown, "The Fab 5". Bob is preceded in death by his parents; brother, William "Bill" Lee Cain; and sister, Katherine "Kathy" DeVault. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2020 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt with John Hamm presiding. Inurnment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Preston. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association in care of Larrison Mortuary.
