LAWRENCE - Patricia ‘Trish’ Ann (Mardis) Weisshaar, age 57, died April 4, 2010 at her home in Lawrence, Kansas. She was born at Pratt, KS, on April 22, 1952 the daughter of Richard Lee and Avis Jo (Sipe) Mardis. She lived in Lawrence since 1997 coming from Pratt, Kansas. Trish was a member of the First United Methodist Church and BPOE Elks Lodge #1451, both of Pratt. While in Pratt she worked at the Uptown Café and Club Dest. She married Edward A. Weisshaar on June 9, 1999 in Lawrence, Kansas. He survives. Trish is also survived by her mother: Avis Mardis of Pratt, a daughter: Kimberly Cline of Evansville, IN, a son: Joshua Gross of Medicine Lodge, KS, a brother: Gordon R. Mardis of Wichita, KS and three grandchildren: Tyler, Gavin and Rhyen Gross and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Mardis and a brother, Danny L. Mardis. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Pratt, with Reverend Dan Ferguson presiding. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt. Memorial contributions may be given to Green Sports Complex, First United Methodist Church, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund in care of the mortuary.
