Lowell Stone

Lowell Dean Stone, age 77, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Clearwater Retirement Community in Clearwater, Kansas. He was born May 3, 1934 in Springfield, Missouri the son of Lowell Stone and Ethel Esther (Curtis) Covey. Lowell had worked as a trim dye sinker for Alcoa Aluminum in California. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pratt. On November 14, 1953 he married Fae Pearl Osborn at Clayton, NM. She preceded him in death March 25, 1998. Survivors include a son, Jay & wife Mary Stone of Lyons, KS; two daughters, Peggy & husband Bill Brasca of North Platte, NE, Susan & husband Kent Foley of Wichita, KS; 9 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Shawn Patrick Stone. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pratt. Private family inurnment will be at Byers Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt, KS.
