Lester Clifford Snell

Lester Clifford Snell, 84, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at his home in Pratt, KS. He was born the son of Silvers and Golia (Lawson) Snell on December 15, 1931 Kingman County, Kansas. He married Mary Louise Snell on November 29, 1953 in St. John, Kansas. She preceded him in death on May 30, 2015. He was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in Pratt. He served in the Army Reserves as a Drill Sergeant. Lester is survived by his sons; Cliff (Donna) Snell of Wichita, Kansas and Mike (Cindy) Snell of Pratt, Kansas; daughters Jennie (Patrick) Coleman of Pratt, Kansas, Mary Muller of Lamar, Colorado, Karen (Kent) Shrack of Lawrence, Kansas, Jackie Snell of Hutchinson, Kansas; sisters Shirley Ann Harrell, Imogene Snell, Barbara Shrout, Norma June Crane; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Joyce Snell Reed; brothers John Snell and Charles Snell; sisters Carol Fornwalt, Syliva Taylor and Lois Jane Allen. No visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Pratt, KS with Pastor Cliff Snell presiding. Inurnment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, KS. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Pratt Area Humane Society in care Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt.
