George Loyd Evans

George Loyd Evans, 31, passed away July 1, 2017 at his home in Preston. He was born July 11, 1985, in Pratt, the son of Bryan and Shirley Evans. George attended school in Pratt and graduated from Pratt High School in 2004. He was an equipment operator for the Kansas Department of Transportation. He had worked at Southwest Truck and in the oilfields. He enjoyed playing with his children and working and showing his project vehicles. George was a very kind person and was always willing to help friends and family. He is survived by his parents, Bryan and Shirley Evans of Pratt; sister, Mindy Riggs of Pratt; brother, Mitch Evans of Harrison, Missouri; four children, Braydon, Kaybre, Allen and Jasper; grandmother, Carol (Ed) Berry of Arlington, Texas; three nephews, Brett, Camren and Joshua; and niece, Brooklyn and girlfriend, Allyssa Martin. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenn and Mary Witt and grandfather, Melvin Evans. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 2-4 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Larrison Mortuary. Cremation will follow. Memorials may be made to George Evans Children’s Education Fund in care of Larrison Mortuary.
