Donald "Brad" Bryant Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donald Bradford “Brad” Bryant, 66, of Kiowa, KS, entered into eternal rest September 4, 2017 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, KS He was born on August 21, 1951 in Hardtner, KS, the son of D.D. “Buck” Bryant and Mildred (Willig) Bryant. On June 5, 1980 he married Valerie (Holmes) Bryant, to this union four daughters were born. He graduated from Kiowa High School and attended Pratt Community College. He worked on the family farm until it was sold, then assisted Bill and Jeanine Fullerton on their farm. He owned/co-operated Val’s Daylight Donut Shop in Kiowa for nearly 30 years. Brad was so proud of his girls. He enjoyed gardening and repairing things, was a huge OU football fan, and adored his dogs. He was a member of the Congregational UCC. Surviving are his wife, Val, of the home; his daughters, Nicky (Chad) Bryant of Kiowa, KS; Alisha (Bill) Murrow of Burlington, OK, Stephanie (Jason) Bryant of Hutchinson, KS, & Lacey (Louis) Bryant of Chicago, IL; his sisters, Dorothy (Ernie) Bryant Bastin of Albany, OH, Delores Diel of Kiowa, KS, & Debbie (Kryz) Glomski of Springfield, SC; his mother-in-law, Patsy Holmes; four grandchildren, Cullen, Jayli, Gwinn, & Preston; two step-grandchildren, Tina & Sam, & numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, Ron Holmes and his brother-in-law, Rex Diel. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., at the Kiowa United Methodist Church, Kiowa, KS with Pastor Margaret Johnson & Pat Myers officiating.
