Charles 'Chuck' David Shepard

Ft. Worth, TX - Charles David “Chuck” Shepard passed away, with his children at his side, on Friday, September 18, 2015 at the age of 70 in Fort Worth, Texas. Chuck was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 3, 1945 and grew up in Pratt, Kansas. Chuck, was a member of First United Methodist Church and was an active participant in numerous athletic events throughout high school. He graduated from Pratt High School in 1963 and went on to earn a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Friend’s University in Wichita in 1971. Chuck was an avid fisherman and golfer and took an active role in his children’s activities. Chuck was a financial consultant for nearly 30 years before retiring in 2010. Following retirement, Chuck enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren and tending a small garden. Chuck was preceded in death by his mother and father, Dorothy Myers Shepard and Lee Howard Shepard, and is survived by his son, David Shepard and daughter-in-law Tressa Shepard of Cedar Park, Texas, daughter, Sarah Settle and son-in-law Scott Settle of Fort Worth Texas, grandchildren Tristen Lange and Olivia Shepard, Owen, Hadley and Andrew Settle, brother, Conrad Shepard and sister-in-law Kathy Shepard of McKinney Texas, and nephews Nicholas and Clifford Shepard. A graveside service and inurnment will be held in Pratt, Kansas on October 3rd at 10:00 am at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Ewertt presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association.
