Brian Scott Carroll

December 18, 1971 - April 1, 2017

Brian Scott Carroll, age 45, of Pratt, Kansas, entered Heaven’s gates April 1, 2017 as a result of a pulmonary embolism. He was born December 18, 1971 in Independence, MO, the son of Wayne L. and Deborah J. (Schmidt) Carroll of Marysville, KS. Brian graduated from Marysville High School in 1990. He continued his education at Emporia State University and went on to complete his Juris Doctorate from Drake University. On March 9, 1996, Brian married Shawna M. (Hatzenbuehler) Carroll in Pratt, KS. They have three children, Madison, McKenna, and Micah Carroll. His family meant the world to him. Brian was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Church. His love for the Lord was his motivation for serving in their church and helping those around him. He loved advocating for others, and he helped numerous families adopt children. Brian was an attorney and owner/operator of Carroll Consulting in Pratt, KS. Brian was a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed watching a variety of sports, as well as volunteering as a color commentator for high school sporting events. He was an avid Hawkeye fan. Surviving in addition to his wife and children are his parents, Wayne and Deborah Carroll of Marysville, KS; two sisters, Kimberly (Stephen) Green of Marysville, KS and Julie (Edward) Larson of Bremen, KS; his father and mother-in-law, Warren and Celia Hatzenbuehler of Pratt, KS; sister-in-law, Darci Jayne of Manhattan, KS; and eight nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 4, 2017, from Noon until 8:00 p.m., with family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt, KS, 67124. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at First Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Enick presiding.
