Rowena Pearl Owens, 90, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Hilltop Manor in Cunningham, Kansas. She was born March 22, 1922 in Wakita, Oklahoma the daughter of Raymond and Grace May (Mercer) Rixse. A longtime resident of Pratt, formerly of Kingman, KS; she was a homemaker. On May 5, 1946 she married Francis E. Owens in Fillmore, IL. He died March 18, 2004.

She is survived by a brother Delmar Rixse, Kingman, KS; a daughter-in-law Claudia Owens, Kingman, KS, and a niece Pam and husband Mike Kluthe, Edwardsville, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Dennis “Denny” Owens, and an infant brother Odell Rixse.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt, KS 67124. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt, KS. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
